This transmitter, a later addition to the Musick Point Radio Group’s collection, was used originally as an aeronautical beacon, transmitting its ID in modulated Morse Code.

In appearance, it is very similar to the Collier and Beale 873.

In 2020 and 2021 MPRG members modified the transmitter to operate AM in the 40-metre (7MHz) amateur band.

  • Power output: 100 watts
  • Modes: CW, AM
  • Frequency range: 1.5 – 7 MHz
  • Status: Currently undergoing testing in the 40m amateur band
