JRC NSD-166N transmitter

This JRC ‘main’ transmitter was installed, along with a virtually identical 6-channel model, at Auckland Radio ZLD in 1967. Both were used until the station closed in 1993.

The transmitter used a solid-state exciter with valves in the power amplifier.
